
Waterland invests in Bosteels
Waterland Private Equity has committed capital to Bosteels Brewery, the East Flanders-based family brewer of Kwak and Tripel Karmeliet beers.
The transaction amount remains undisclosed. Waterland managing principal Frank Vlayen told Belgian press that the Bosteels family would remain at the helm of the business and there will be no changes to management.

Founded in 1791 and headquartered in Buggenhout, Bosteels is a brewer of the Pauwel Kwak, Tripel Karmeliet and Deus beers.
The brewery has been run by the Bosteels family since its establishment, and has seen seven generations keep the business running.
Its beers are available in 10 countries. According to Waterland, Bosteels brews 11 million litres of beer per year. The company reportedly generated €24m in revenues last year, with an operating profit of €5.9m.

Ivo Bosteels and his son Antoine currently run the brewery.
