PPM Oost invests in Informaat
PPM Oost and The Informal Investors Network (or TIIN Capital) have invested in Informaat, a Dutch business providing a customer experience platform (CXP) product for insurers.
The fresh capital provided by PPM Oost and TIIN will be used by Informaat to commercialise its CXP product to the global insurance market.
PPM Oost is a state-backed firm that is part of the East Netherlands Development Agency. The firm manages a revolving venture capital fund that is focused specifically on the regions of Gelderland and Overijssel in the Netherlands. PPM Oost typically invests in companies operating in the agro-food, high-tech, energy and life sciences sectors in the Netherlands.
Company
Founded in 1986, Informaat is now headquartered in Deventer, having been previously located in Baarn, and employs approximately 100 staff. The company is a digital applications design agency that focuses on enterprise-grade applications.
Informaat's CXP product is a "service eco-system" that allows all customer dialogues to be mapped via "touch points", for example mobile apps and social media sites such as Facebook. It is designed for insurers to lower design, development and maintenance costs as well as increase customer satisfaction, due to services being quicker and more tailored for customers seeking personal insurance.
People
Gijs de Waal is the COO of Informaat. Arie Boskamp is a managing partner at TIIN alongside Michael Lucassen, while Marius Prins is a director at PPM Oost and Tom Paffen is the sector manager for high-tech systems and materials for the GP.
