Turkven-backed Alpha Flexibles to invest in Elif
Istanbul-based mid-market private equity house Turkven has made a bid to acquire Turkish packaging company Elif Holding via its investment vehicle Alpha Flexibles.
According to a public application filed with the Turkish competition authority, Rekabet Kurumu, Alpha Flexibles is seeking to wholly acquire Elif.
Alpha Flexibles is controlled by a group of international investors that are advised by Turkven, according to a report in Turkish financial daily Dünya.
Established in 1972 and headquartered in Istanbul, Elif exports its products to 50 countries and operates an additional facility in Cairo, Egypt. It employs a staff of 1,400 employees.
