Rothschild appoints CEE fund manager
Edmond de Rothschild has appointed Gegham Ananyan as fund manager covering the Eastern European region.
He will join Rothschild's Frankfurt team and work alongside Thomas Gerhardt, head of the Emerging Markets and Commodities team.
The Emerging Markets and Commodities team currently consists of 12 fund managers based in Paris, Hong Kong and Frankfurt.
Ananyan started his career at the Central Bank of Armenia, where he then became the head of financial markets. Later he joined IBM Business Consulting Services as a securities market expert.
In 2005, Ananyan worked as head of Eastern European equities and fund manager at Warburg Invest. After that, he managed the Valartis Asset Eastern European Equities fund for Valartis Asset Management in Geneva.
