
Almaz Capital hires two
Russo-American investor Almaz Capital has appointed Ross Hangebrauck and Daniil Stolyarov as managing director and investment director respectively.
The new hires will be based in the Silicon Valley office and focus on strengthening ties with the Russian base.
Hangebrauck was formerly an early-stage investor and co-founder of software firm Hover, where he remains board chairman. He is a former financial adviser at Merrill Lynch, where he managed financial portfolios and relationships.
In his role as managing director, Hangebrauck will act as an interface between limited partners, the entrepreneur community and portfolio company executives.
Stolyarov has more than ten years' experience advising technology, media and communication companies in Russia and the Silicon Valley on M&A, strategic partnerships, as well as public and private financings. He will focus on helping investee companies in both geographies to develop and grow cross-border operations and organisations.
Stolyarov has worked at Cowen and Company, Lehman Brothers and Renaissance Capital. He is also a co-founder and former board member of Russian online travel company itour.ru.
Almaz Capital was established in 2008.
