Mid Europa Partners acquires stake in Waberer's
Mid Europa Partners has acquired a 49.05% stake in Hungarian road freight transport company Waberer’s Holding Zrt.
The stake was acquired from the company's founder and CEO. Mid Europa's investment significantly strengthens the company's capital base and supports a growth strategy involving acquisitions of other road transportation companies.
Waberer's operates a fleet of 2,300 trucks in Central Europe and generated revenue of €331m in 2010. Mid Europa was attracted to the deal because it believes the company operates in a fragmented market.
