Arx Equity Partner to stop investing in Poland
Arx Equity Partners has announced it will not make any new investments in Poland.
Despite abandoning its Poland strategy, Arx will keep its local office running. The GP has not been very active in the country in recent years and mainly focused on the Czech Republic, with infrequent deals in other eastern European countries.
The investor's last deal in the country came in August last year, when Arx backed the management buyout of Anwis Polska, a producer of custom-made window coverings.
In 2010, the GP backed a Polish bolt-on for its Czech portfolio company Lexum Group with the purchase of opthalmology chain Intermedica.
Arx's latest investment was for Slovenian healthcare services provider Diagnosticni Center Bled in April 2015, for which it plans an acquisitive growth strategy.
The investor focuses on mid-size companies in central and eastern Europe. Its preferred strategies are MBOs and MBIs.
