Carlyle's Comdata buys Turkish peer Win Bilgi Iletisim
Carlyle-backed business process outsourcing service Comdata has acquired Turkish competitor Win Bilgi Iletisim.
As part of the deal, the merged group aims to expand its business across Turkey through the opening of several offices in Eskişehir and Kayseri, as well as boost its expansion across the insurance and finance sectors.
The deal marks the second bolt-on acquisition in 2016 for Italy-based Comdata, following the merger with Spanish competitor Digitex in February 2016.
The Italian company already had a presence in Turkey through its subsidiary Comdata Türkiye, the result of bolting on Turkish call-centre operator CallUs in 2013, with three operational plants based in Istanbul, Konya and Samsun.

Carlyle acquired a majority stake in the business via its Carlyle Europe Partners IV vehicle in December 2015.
