Metric backs Win Systems' purchase of Gold Club
Metric Capital Partners has provided a credit package to back Win Systems’ acquisition of Slovenian gaming machines and electronic roulettes producer Gold Club.
The deal saw the GP provide a structured credit instrument to Barcelona-based Win Systems to support the acquisition and concurrently secure an undisclosed stake in Win. According to a statement, Metric chairperson John Sinik as well as its partner Giovanni Miele will join Win Systems' board of directors following the transaction. Financial details have not been disclosed.
Mid-market buyout house Metric injected fresh capital in the business via its second vehicle, Metric Fund II, which held a final close on €465m in February 2014. The deal marked the vehicle's sixth investment, according to a statement.
Following the acquisition, the group will reach a headcount of 300 and expand its market reach across Europe, South Africa and the Americas with Gold Club continuing to operate under its own brand.
Company
Gold Club is headquartered in Sežana, Slovenia, and was founded in 1998. The company produces gaming machines, including roulettes, slot machines and table games, and claims a market presence across 50 countries.
