
EI buys stake in Anwim
Enterprise Investors (EI) has secured a stake in Poland-based Anwim, an independent operator of fuel stations trading under the Moya brand.
Update 13/11/2018: Enterprise Investors has now acquired a "significant" minority stake in the business following further negotiations. The value of the transaction stood at €23.3m.
Initial report 26/07/2018: The investment will be used to finance the expansion of Anwim, including the development of the Moya chain in Poland. Anwim plans to grow its chain by doubling the number of petrol stations in the next five years.
EI has signed a term sheet, however the full value of the transaction is to be determined in the course of further negotiations, according to a statement.
The GP will use its €498m Polish Enterprise VIII fund to finance the transaction. The vehicle held a final close above its €450m target in September 2017.

Founded in 1992 and headquartered in Warsaw, Anwim was initially focused on wholesale fuel trading. The company launched retail operations in 2009, which currently account for half of its revenues.
Anwim’s Moya chain comprises 180 stations that are situated in high-traffic locations nationwide. The company generated €730m in revenues from fuel wholesale and retail operations in 2017. It employs a staff of 250.
