Afinum-backed Cotta buys Sinkro
Afinum Management-backed Cotta has acquired a majority stake in Sarajevo-based upholstered furniture manufacturer Sinkro.
Sinkro's management team has retained a minority stake in the business.
Afinum said the company will open three stores in Sarajevo in 2018, creating an additional 800 jobs in the region.
The GP originally invested in Cotta in 2014, drawing capital from its fourth buyout fund, Afinum Siebte Beteiligungsgesellschaft, a €280m vehicle that deploys approximately €10-35m per transaction.
The acquisition of Sinkro strengthens Cotta's manufacturing footprint and expands its product portfolio.
Company
Sinkro was founded in 1997 and is headquartered in Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovnia. Sinkro manufactures boxspring beds, upholstered beds, chairs and other furniture. It currently employs 300 people.
