Horizon backs confectionery maker Yarych
Ukrainian buyout firm Horizon Capital has acquired a minority stake of 33% in biscuit producer Yarych.
Horizon is currently investing from its $150m Emerging Europe Growth Fund III, launched in 2016.
Yarych plans to strengthen its position in its core markets in Ukraine, as well as expand internationally.
Company
Yarych was carved out of Nestlé by its management in 2008 and launched with the Yarych brand in 2010. It is an IFC-certified confectionery producer, meaning it can export its products to the EU.
Its product portfolio includes Yarych Maria and Yarych Petit-Beurre sweet biscuits, and Yarych Cracker savory biscuits in a broad range of flavours.
