Battery Ventures leads $33m round for Mews
Battery Ventures has led a $33m series-B founding round for Mews, a Prague-based hotel management software firm.
Mews will use the fresh funding to develop its software and to support its expansion in the US. The company is due to open an office in New York City.
The series-B brings the total amount raised by the business to $41m. It netted a €1.5m seed round from Axivate in 2016, followed by a €6m series-A led by Notion, with participation from HenQ and Thayer Ventures, in 2018.
Battery principal Sanjiv Kalevar will join the Mews board of directors, with general partner Michael Brown also joining as board observer.

Founded in 2012, Mews develops software used by hotels to manage their properties. The tool also allows other apps and tools to connect to it.
