Mezzanine Management et al. back Profi
CEE-focused mezzanine finance provider Mezzanine Management has backed Polish pâté producer Profi with €10.6m in funding.
It is the eighth investment from AMC IV, a €264m fund that held a final close in 2018. The vehicle is Mezzanine Management's largest fund to date.
Alongside Mezzanine Management, Profi has been acquired by a group of private investors, including the founders who had sold the business in 2017 to Bounty Brands, which is now divesting it as part of a refocus on core South African operations.
Unquote understands that Mezzanine Management invested both equity and debt.
The investors will provide the company with resources to further solidify its position in the current segment and will support its expansion organically and acquisitively.
Company
Founded in 1993 and headquartered in Grabów nad Prosna, the firm specialises in traditional recipes free from preservatives and artificial flavours for its poultry pâté and ready-to-eat soups and meals. It employs 300 staff.
