Benson Oak fully exits Klikpojisteni.cz
Benson Oak Capital and co-investors have sold their entire stakes in online insurance brokerage Klikpojisteni.cz (Klik) to a company majority owned by TA Associates and minority owned by MCI EuroVentures.
Central European Online Insurance Brokerage Group owns Netrisk, which operates Netrisk.hu and Biztositas.hu, two Hungarian online insurance brokerages. Klik will now be part of the group.
TA Associates acquired a 75% stake in Hungarian online insurance brokerage Netrisk from MCI Capital Group for €55m in January 2020. MCI and the management team retained 23.7% and 1.3% stakes in the company respectively. In December 2019, Netrisk acquired its competitor Biztositas.hu.
The company will continue to operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary under the Klik brand and under the leadership of its original founder Andrew Fuchs and management team, including Aleš Rothbarth and Lukaš Pikal. Major Klik shareholders will become minority shareholders in the combined group.
In August 2011, Benson Oak Capital acquired a majority stake in Klik in a buyout transaction, and subsequently supported the company with multiple rounds of investment.
