
Accel, IVP lead $69m series-B for Veriff
US-based investors IVP and Accel have led a $69m series-B funding round for Estonia-based Veriff, an identity verification provider.
The Tallinn-headquartered company, which has raised $92.8m in funding to date, will use the proceeds to expand in the US market and enhance its product offering.
The company said in a statement that it tripled the amount of customers and experienced a 6x growth in annual recurring revenues in 2020 as a result of the pandemic-driven digitalisation across the globe.
As part of the deal, Jules Maltz of IVP and Matt Weigand of Accel will join Veriff's board of directors.
Company
Founded in 2015 and based in Tallinn, Veriff has created an AI-driven identity verification platform. Its decision engine currently analyses more than 9,000 variations of government-issued IDs from 190 countries in 36 different languages. The company employs 230 staff in Estonia and the US.
