
Phenomen et al. invest $8m in Delivery Club
Phenomen Ventures, Guard Capital and AddVenture have injected $8m into Delivery Club, a Moscow-based online food delivery company.
The fresh funding will be used by Delivery Club to further develop its online platform, as well as expand its offering into new locations across Russia.
Previous funding
Delivery Club first received $400,000 in seed funding in 2009. AddVenture then supplied the company with $1m in 2011 alongside several Russian business angels, followed by a further $4m in 2012.
Company
Founded in 2009 and headquartered in Moscow, Delivery Club provides a food delivery service to 18 Russian cities including Moscow, St Petersburg and Volgograd, as well as 22 smaller towns in the Moscow region.
The company consolidates around 2,000 independent delivery services across Russia and is believed to generate revenues by taking a 10% commission fee on each order made through the site.
