Royalton acquires 70% stake in IUS
Royalton Partners is buying a 70% stake in Slovenian internet business IUS Software.
The transaction took place via IUS Legal and Royalton's Dutch holding company Business Solutions BV. The investment was made from its RCI II fund.
The 70% stake is composed of shares from Koinon NV, STJ Ltd and the company's founder Anton Tomazic, who will retain 10% of IUS shares. Royalton also funded a captial increase for acquisitions in other European markets.
Royalton assumed existing debt and is prepared to provide additional acquisition financing in the future.

IUS is an online provider of legal, financal and tax information to professionals in Slovenia and Croatia. It operates from Ljubljana and Zagreb and employs 70 people. In 2011, the company's customer base amounted to 12,000 people. IUS was founded in 1989 by Anton Tomazic.

Managing partner Nigel P Williams led the deal on behalf of Royalton. Tomaz Iskra is CEO and shareholder of IUS.
