Elbrus Capital buys minority stake in B2B-Center
Elbrus Capital has acquired a 23% stake in Russian online procurement marketplace B2B-Center.
The fresh funding will back the expansion of the firm and the strengthening of its current position in the market.
Elbrus Capital is a Russia and CIS-focused private equity investor that span out from Renaissance Private Equity in 2009. The GP manages two funds and has assets under management in excess of $600m.
Previous funding
In 2012, B2B-Center received funding from a consortium of investors led by Insight Venture Partners and Da Vinci Capital. The round also included Alpha Associates and Runa Capital, which invested in a minority stake in the firm.

B2B-Center is an online procurement marketplace in Russia that allows its business clients to list and sell, or find and procure, products and services. The firm's clients include more than 120,000 companies across a range of industries, present in 90 countries.
Around 230,000 trading procedures valued in excess of 2.5 trillion rubles have been conducted through the firm's marketplace. More than 40% of online trading in the B2B segment in Russia is completed through the company.
