Innova and EBRD invest in EnergoBit
Innova Capital and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) have taken over Romanian electrical engineering services company (ESCo) EnergoBit.
Innova took a 52.8% controlling stake in the company. Energy is one of the core sectors in Innova's investment strategy; the firm intends to leverage Romania's need for modernising its transmission and distribution networks, as well as renewable energy.
The funding will support the development of EnergoBit's products and services, especially surrounding the power distribution grid. The company will also grow its production and supply of electrical equipment, as well as its ESCo services.
