
Abraaj, EBRD invest in BRN
Turkish investor Abraaj Group and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) have invested in BRN Sleep Products, a Turkish mattress manufacturer and retailer.
The two investors acquired a minority stake in the business.
Abraaj is investing via its Anatolia Growth Capital Fund (AGCF), with the deal marking the maiden investment for the vehicle.
Company
Founded in 2006, BRN is headquartered in Kayseri. The company is known as BRN Yatak Baza Ev Tekstili İnşaat Sanayi Ticaret Anonim Şirketi in its home market.
BRN is a manufacturer and retailer of mattresses. It operates 11 stores in Turkey and its products are exported to 50 countries.
The company employs 200 staff.

Berna and Mustafa İlter are the founders of BRN. Selçuk Yorgancıoğlu is a partner and regional head of Turkey and central Asia at Abraaj. Mike Davey is a director at EBRD.
