
Ardian and Resource Partners increase Baltcom holding
Ardian and Resource Partners have bought out a minority shareholder in SIA Baltcom TV (Baltcom), a Latvian cable television operator, to increase their joint stake in the business.
Ardian and Resource Partners invested in Baltcom in May 2011. Baltcom TV's existing shareholders include RPAX One as well as State JSC Latvian Radio and Television Centre.
Resource Partners focuses on growth financing of consumer goods and services companies operating within the CEE region. It manages funds for Axa, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the European Investment Fund and Rabobank.

Founded in 1991, Baltcom is a Latvian telecommunication company offering analogue and interactive digital TV, high-speed internet and fixed telephony services. Since August 2013, it also offers electric energy retail distribution for households. In September 2013, Baltcom bought cable television operator Izzi.
