United Cats & Dogs (Estonia) - Dec 2007

Two social networking sites, uniteddogs.com and unitedcats.com, have received funding from Ambient Sound Investments (ASI), the investment company set up by the four founding engineers of Skype. The capital infusion gives ASI a 15% stake in the business, but the deal size has not been revealed. With the investment, the company will have the means to localise services to more markets faster.

Company

The two social networking sites concentrates on uniting people based on their interest for their pets. The website offers the opportunity to make free homepages for the pet, upload and comment photos with other pet owners. The websites currently unites 9,000 users and generate more than 50,000 visits per month. The company also has active partnership with animal rights organisations to raise important issues in the general oublic.
