
Arx Equity Partners buys Anwis
Arx Equity Partners has backed the management buy-in of Anwis Polska, a Polish producer of custom-made window coverings.
Jacek Gromniak, former CEO of Somfy Poland, a manufacturer or motors and controls for window covering systems, becomes CEO of Anwis.
Arx and Gromniak plan to grow the business organically in existing and new geographies, with a particular focus on Benelux and France. Bolt-on acquisitions will also be pursued.
Arx committed capital from the €125m Arx CEE III fund. Recent transactions completed via the vehicle include the acquistion of Hungarian bottle manufacturer Gramex. The fund backs businesses with enterprise values of €10-50m.

Founded 35 years ago and based in Włocławek, Anwis Polska produces window covers and components. Products include horizontal, vertical, roller and pleated blinds. The business currently operates in Poland and Germany and reported revenues of €22.6m in 2013.
People
Jacek Korpala is co-managing partner at Arx and worked on the deal. Anwis founder Antoni Wiśniewski will sit on the company's supervisory board.
