
IMI.VC backs Game Insight with $25m
Russian investor IMI.VC has invested $25m in Moscow-based mobile gaming network Game Insight, valuing the company at $550m.
IMI.VC previously invested in the company in 2011 and 2012, albeit significantly smaller amounts, the GP stated.
The funding will support the company's strategy to expand globally beyond its Russian and US presence. Game Insight plans to diversify its portfolio and to broaden development resources, before expanding into emerging markets and extending marketing activities.

Game Insight was founded in Moscow in 2010. The company develops and publishes free-to-play games for all major mobile and social platforms. The business recently opened an office in San Francisco to tap into the US market. It also maintains a network of 10 studios worldwide, serving more than 140 million users. Game Insight currently employs 500 people and had a turnover of $90m in 2012.
