Mid Europa’s Regina Maria bolts on hospital
Romanian healthcare services operator Regina Maria, backed by CEE-focused GP Mid Europa, has acquired Bucharest-based hospital Ponderas in a bolt-on.
Regina Maria, the operating name of Centrul Medical Unirea, will acquire Delta Health Care and Delta Health Trade, the parents of Ponderas.
The deal is the first add-on acquisition for Regina Maria since Mid Europa completed the buyout from Advent and the founding Enayati family in August 2015.
For Mid Europa, the bolt-on forms part of its Romanian consolidation strategy for Regina Maria and will add additional services to its platform, including specialised and general surgeries, polyclinic, imaging, cardiology and ophthalmology.
Company
Ponderas is a medical facility in Bucharest providing private medical treatment services.
