NASDAQ Deutschland to start operation
The electronic stock exchange NASDAQ Deutschland is set to start operating on 21 March 2003. The bourse will be owned to 50% by NASDAQ Europe, to 15% by Dresdner Bank, to 10% by each The cities of Berlin and Bremen and to 7.5% each by Commerzbank and Comdirect Bank. Initial public offerings are not seen as a main focus of the stock exchange, though they should be possible within this year.
