Wellington Partners - Dr Thomas Widmann

Dr Thomas Widmann has joined Munich-based Wellington Partners as venture partner for the life science team. As venture partner Widmann will be supporting Wellington’s portfolio companies in the life science sector with his entrepreneurial and scientific know-how. At the same time, he will also playing an active role in selecting new investments. Widmann was co-founder of Swiss-based Actelion in December 1997, and served as the company’s first chief executive officer. Actelion was listed on the Swiss Stock Exchange in April 2000.
