Léman Capital - Pieter van Tiel
Pieter van Tiel has recently joined Léman Capital as CFO. Van Tiel began his career with Union Carbide as funding manager in Geneva. He then joined Unilever where he held a number of financial roles, notably as investment manager of the group and as financial controller for Elizabeth Arden. When the Elizabeth Arden brand was sold he joined the new company as financial director international. He then joined CFT Associates as managing partner covering the French speaking part of Switzerland for treasury consulting. He holds an MA in Finance and Economics from the University of Geneva and has published economic research work in the Revue d’Economie Politique, Paris. He is joined by Gabriel Champrenaud as an associate. Champrenaud started his career at the Institute of Accounting and Management Control at the University of Lausanne, where he led consulting assignments and academic research. He then spent several years as business development manager with Merchant Venture Investments, a private equity pool of more than 400 investors: entrepreneurs and senior industry executives. There he managed several investments in different sectors (industrial and consumer goods, IT, rating services). He holds an MA in International Management jointly from HEC Lausanne and the National University of Singapore.
