CVC in exclusive talks with E.ON

Private Equity firm CVC Capital Partners has reached exclusive status in negotiations with utility E.ON regarding the acquisition of its metering business. The deal value has been estimated by public source to be around e1m. Goldman Sachs auctioned the assets on behalf of E.ON. Permira has been named as one of the other investors that have been said to be bidding.
