Headway Capital closes debut second
Headway Capital Partners has closed its debut private equity secondaries fund, Headway Investment Partners LP, on E52m. The group held a first close for the fund on 25 April having originally set out to raise E40-50m. No placing agent was used in the raising of the fund, which is structured as an eight-year LP. Investors in Headway Capital Partners' debut fund consist of family offices and high-net-worth individuals from around the world, chosen as an investor-base in order to maintain discretion and to potentially give rise to introductions between GPs and LPs. Investors in the fund are based in Europe, the US, Asia and Latin America. The new fund will buy limited partner interests in venture capital and private equity funds, portfolios of direct investments and minority stakes in single companies. Christiaan de Lint, Sebastian Junoy and Laura Shen - all formerly of Coller Capital - are the three partners of Headway Capital and are responsible for investment origination, valuation, execution and management.
