BNP Paribas has appointed Christian Lange to the leveraged finance team in Frankfurt. Lange will work on leveraged finance origination as well as structuring and execution. He will report to Olivier Baillet, head of leveraged finance in Germany. Lange joined BNP Paribas on 1st December, having worked in leveraged finance at Deutsche Bank, and previously Bankers Trust, for 10 years, where he was responsible for structuring and executing European leveraged finance transactions in Frankfurt and London. The appointment is in line with the continued growth of a strong European franchise, particularly in Germany where the team closed two deals in December. Leveraged finance will be further reinforced during 2005 with selective hires.
