HgCapital has appointed Dr Karsten Hartmann as an Associate Director. Hartmann joins HgCapital’s information & communications technology investment team in Frankfurt, which is headed by Trevor Bayley. He previously spent seven years with McKinsey & Company in Munich as a corporate finance and strategy consultant within the electronics and telecommunications sector. He obtained a doctorate in Chemistry at Munich University and gained two years’ experience within the IT industry, undertaking software programming projects for companies such as Siemens.
