PolyTechnos Venture Partners

Dr Tonio Barlage has been appointed managing partner at Munich-based venture capital firm PolyTechnos Venture-Partners. Barlage spent some 14 years at engineering firm Sauer-Danfoss-Group where he kept positions such as chief operational officer and chief financial officer. In 2002 Barlage co-launched the E175m AG structured turnaround fund Barlage, Knoth & Cie, which was withdrawn from the market at the end of 2002 after limited institutional interest (October 2002, page 6 & January 2003, page 8). Dr Pol Bamelis has joined the advisory board of PolyTechnos Venture Fund II. Bamelis is chairman of the supervisory board at AGFA-Gevaert.
