TFG Venture Capital restructures activities
TFG Venture Capital AG & Co. KGaA is restructuring its investment business and will be focusing on acquiring and developing under-valued listed technology companies. TFG will initially concentrate on companies listed on the current Neuer Markt. The decision to purchase stakes in a company will be based on that company’s net asset value and cash resources, which will ideally be above the target company’s market capitalization. In individual cases, TFG may increase these value indicators by acquiring a majority. Despite this change in strategy, TFG continues to be convinced of the German venture capital market’s long-term development potential and will continue its venture capital business via long-term, closed-end funds. The Group will carry out its former venture capital activities via a new private equity partnership as of 1 January 2003.
