Euronext reports half-year results
Euronext NV has announced its half-year revenues with an increase from E452.1m in 2003, to E462.6m this year on a full comparable basis, owing to strong performance, namely in software sales, recovery in the listing activity and satisfactory derivatives income. Revenues for the second quarter of 2004 reached E225.9m, down from the E238m (pro forma revenues) achieved during the same period in 2003. This is due to the slowdown of activity in the worldwide financial markets, impacting mainly the cash side, starting in May this year and, to a lesser extent, to the decline of 'other revenues'.
