Intermediate Capital Group
Intermediate Capital Group PLC (ICG), an independent provider of mezzanine finance in Europe, has announced the appointments of Carola Babcock and Felix Hölzer as joint heads of ICG's German business. The appointment follows ICG's announcement a month ago that Dr Martin Kohlhaussen has been appointed to ICG's board as a non-executive director. In addition, the German team has recently been strengthened with the hire of Mark Brenke, formerly with GE Capital and Goldman Sachs, to focus on growing ICG's business in German-speaking countries. Carola Babcock heads the German mezzanine business of Intermediate Capital Group together with Felix Hölzer. She joined ICG five years ago and played a major role in developing the investment activities in Germany. Prior to joining ICG, Babcock had spent more than 10 years in the structured and leveraged finance market working for CSFB and BankBoston in Frankfurt, London and Boston. Babcock represents ICG in the supervisory boards of several German portfolio companies.Felix Hölzer joined ICG three years ago and played a major role in developing the investment activities in Germany. Prior to joining ICG, Hölzer worked in private equity and corporate finance for six years for German private equity house Palladion Partners in Frankfurt and Arthur Andersen in Munich. Hölzer also represents ICG in the supervisory boards of several German portfolio companies.
