
KKR Capstone hires Benkert as head of Europe

KKR Capstone has hired Claus Benkert as head of the Munich-based KKR Capstone Europe team.
Starting on 1 March, Benkert will also join KKR's European portfolio management committee, which focuses on the GP’s investment in private equity, infrastructure and credit instruments.
Benkert will join KKR from advisory firm McKinsey, where he led the Munich-based office as a senior partner for the last seven years, focusing on Europe, Asia and Middle East. He joined the firm in 1993. Prior to that, he worked as a research associate at the Max Planck Institute.
As a branch of KKR, KKR Capstone focuses on performance in the GP's portfolio companies. With offices in the Americas, Europe and Asia, KKR Capstone has a headcount of 50 full-time employees.
