Oakley Capital appoints Schremper as new partner
UK private equity firm Oakley Capital has hired Ralf Schremper as a new partner for its German office.
Schremper will join Oakley in August 2017 and will focus on bolstering the GP's presence across the DACH region. As part of his areas of expertise, he will mainly focus on the digital media, e-commerce and education sectors.
Prior to joining Oakley, he worked as chief strategy and investment officer at German media and digital group ProSiebenSat.1 for 15 years, where he was also member of the executive board since April 2015. In his role, he was responsible for the company's acquisition strategy, contributing to the expansion of the business's portfolio.
Prior to that, Schremper worked for media business Bertelsmann until 2009, where he led the corporate's development.
Schremper already worked alongside Oakley in 2014, as the GP sold Verivox and subsequently Parship Elite Group to ProSiebenSat.1, retaining a minority stake in both instances.
