Capzanine opens private debt office in Germany
Capzanine has hired Bertram Schütz to head up its newly established Germany office in Munich and continue Capzanine's European private debt expansion.
The GP simultaneously announced the hiring of Jean-Marc Flamma, formerly private debt managing director at Ardian, as managing partner in the Paris office.
The announcement highlights Capzanine's view that Germany's investment capital market has strong growth potential. Schütz will be responsible for extending Capzanine's experience in the French market to financing German mid-cap companies.
Schütz joins the firm from Avenue Capital Group, where he had been managing director since 2007. He established Avenue's private debt strategy and helped deploy €350m in German SMEs.
According to unquote" data, Capzanine has completed more than 98% of its investments to date in France and the remainder in Luxembourg.
