Gilde Healthcare opens DACH office in Frankfurt
Dutch GP Gilde Healthcare has announced the opening of a Frankfurt office, which will focus on investments in healthcare businesses headquartered in the DACH region.
Gilde said that expansion into the DACH region is a logical step for the firm as it represents Europe's largest healthcare market with an annual spend of more than €450bn, a stable regulatory environment and well-funded insurance systems.
The GP focuses on buy-and-build strategies for healthcare service providers and suppliers with EBITDA between €2-15m and maximum equity investment of €50m.
The new office will be headed by Fabian Braemisch, who joined Gilde from Bridgepoint, where he focused on large mid-market healthcare investments. The German team will be expanded with the hiring of additional investment professionals over the next 12 months.
