Point Nine hires in-house general counsel
Berlin-based VC firm Point Nine Capital has hired von Ferber Langer partner Tilman Langer as general counsel.
Langer has been supporting Point Nine on a deal-by-deal basis since 2010, and Point Nine said that bringing him in-house will allow the firm to execute investments faster and save money on external legal costs for its portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Point Nine, Langer was a partner at von Ferber Langer, a Hamburg- and Munich-based law firm specialising in closed-ended funds, VC and M&A. He previously worked as an investment director at Orlando Management and also worked for Greenhill, where he interviewed Point Nine partner Pawel Chudzinski for an analyst role in 2004.
In 2017, Point Nine completed 111 transactions across its portfolio, including nine from PNC I, 43 from PNC II, 56 from PNC III and 3 from the €75m PNC IV, which held a final close in July 2017.
