Ambienta to sell Lakesight Technologies
Private equity firm Ambienta is exiting Lakesight Technologies – a machine vision provider based in Germany – according to a source familiar with the situation.
The GP has appointed Lincoln International as adviser on the sale.
Munich-based Lakesight Technologies, which specialises in vision systems for industrial automation and transportation, expects to reach EBITDA of around €13m in 2018.
The Italian GP acquired a 95% stake in Lakesight in October 2012 via its maiden vehicle, Ambienta I, which held its final close on €217.5m in October 2009.
The acquisition was made in order to create a European buy-and-build platform, which currently comprises three companies: Brescia-based Tattile, acquired by Ambienta in 2012; German company Mikrotron, bought by Lakesight in 2015; and Konstanz-based Chromasens, acquired by the company in 2017.
