Volpi appoints Investindustrial's Klasmeyer

Pan-European lower-mid-market firm Volpi Capital has appointed Joerg Klasmeyer as an investment professional.
Klasmeyer will work on Volpi's investment team, originating and executing deals across Europe, with a focus on the DACH region. He will also work with the management teams of Volpi's portfolio to implement their growth plans through buy-and-build strategies and international expansion.
He joins the firm from Investindustrial, where he was responsible for advising portfolio companies and executing deals throughout Europe, with a focus on lower-mid-market companies.
Klasmeyer started his career at Lazard where he was part of the Germany coverage team and later joined Morgan Stanley where he worked in the global industrials department. He then moved to Pamplona Credit Management, where he had responsibility for origination and execution, and then joined Bain Capital Credit as part of the Credit Opportunities Fund. There he focused on special situations and loan-to-own deals.
This is Volpi's second appointment this year, after Erik Berggren joined in March. The firm was founded in 2015 and closed its debut fund Volpi Capital Fund I on €185m in April 2018.
