
Renzenbrink & Partner strengthens finance and PE teams

Law firm Renzenbrink & Partner has hired Ashurst senior associate Isabell Hitzer and promoted Niels Maier to partner.
Hitzer will join the firm in January 2020 and will lead the Munich-based finance team with partner Bernd Egbers. The firm's Munich office is set to open in 2020.
Hitzer joined Ashurst in 2015 and was promoted to senior associate in 2017. She previously worked at RölfsPartner, and also has experience advising BlackRock and Capvis. Hitzer specialises in acquisiiton finance and advises on both national and cross-border mandates.
Niels Maier, who was part of Renzenbrink's founding team, will also be promoted to partner in the firm's private equity team from 1 January 2020.
Maier joined Renzenbrink Raschke von Knobelsdorff Heiser in 2013, moving to Renzenbrink & Partner at the firm's foundation in 2015. He focuses on private-equity-backed transactions.
