
Heal Capital names Weber as managing partner

Berlin-based venture capital firm Heal Capital has hired Eckhardt Weber as managing partner.
Weber will manage the firm along with Christian Weiß, who joined the firm as managing partner and managing director in January 2020.
Weber joins following three years as managing director at Heartbeat Labs, which he co-founded in 2017. Heartbeat Labs has also partnered with Heal Capital for its debut fund, which is backed by a number of Germany-based health insurers.
Prior to founding Heartbeat Labs, Weber was a managing director at FinLeap. He also previously worked as a venture capital and M&A lawyer at P+P Pöllath + Partners.
Heal Capital launched its debut fund in H2 2019, targeting €100m and focusing on technology-backed companies in the healthcare and life sciences sectors, as reported by Unquote.
