Moonfare appoints Winson Ng of UBS as CIO
Moonfare has hired Winson Ng, formerly from UBS Global Wealth Management’s private markets due diligence team, as its chief investment officer.
Ng also has experience with GIC, the sovereign wealth fund of Singapore.
He has taken part in growth, mid-market and large-cap buyout fund investments and co-investments, as well as in the fields of mezzanine, credit, infrastructure and venture. Ng has additional experience in advisory board roles for funds.
Founded in 2016, Berlin-headquartered Moonfare is a platform that allows private individual investors to invest in private equity funds via its Luxembourg-based feeder fund structure. Investors can also sell their investments after one year, connecting sellers with potential buyers via its network.
Update (13/11/2020): this story was amended to reflect that Ng was part of UBS Global Wealth Management’s private markets due diligence team, and not UBS’s former head of private market investments
