Sonntag Corporate Finance, Nachfolgekontor complete MBO
Corporate finance advisory firms Sonntag Corporate Finance and Nachfolgekontor have undertaken a team MBO, which will see the founder of the sister firms, Thomas Sonntag, sell his stake.
Thomas Sonntag is to step down from his position as partner but will continue his role with his firm Kapitalkontor, according to a statement. He will also remain involved with Sonntag Corporate Finance and Nachfolgekontor as a consultant.
Managing directors Julian Will and Patrick Seip will head the business and are the largest shareholders in the firms.
Project managers Fabian Schmidt and Benedikt Pohlner will retain their stakes in the firm, while fellow project managers David Weidmann, Niklas Poppelreuter, Sebastian Wissig and Sebastian Ringleb will join as new shareholders. Project developer Jochen Ahl will also join the firm's investor base.
Both firms advise on small-cap deals and will be headed by the eight-person management team following the MBO. The firms focus on advising companies with revenues of €500,000-500m and will continue to advise on deals including succession solutions.
