Balderton hires Ahluwalia in DACH team

Ahluwalia will join principal Colin Hanna in the GP's DACH team. Hanna has been based in the Berlin team since 2019, Balderton said in a statement.

Ahluwalia co-founded SBL, an India-based online direct-to-consumer women's fashion retailer, and has since founded a technology advisory boutique that focuses on retail digitalisation. She also has prior experience at JP Morgan.

Balderton's 10 DACH portfolio companies include online real estate agent McMakler and urban farming startup Infarm. The firm said in a statement that Ahluwalia's appointment aims to deepen its commitment to the DACH region.
