EY Law hires Schulz
EY Law has announced that it has hired Daniel Martin Schulz as a director in its Hamburg-based private equity and M&A team.
The firm said in a statement that the director position is equivalent to that of a salary partner in a traditional law firm.
Schulz joins from Allen & Overy, where he had worked since 2005. He has experience of both national and cross-border private equity and M&A deals. Schulz's appointment is intended to support the development of EY's M&A business in northern Germany, as well as its automotive sector offering, the firm said in a statement.
Other recent hires include Sylvia Semkowicz, who joined EY Law's Hamburg team in July 2020 as a senior manager, with prior experience at PwC and Latham & Watkins. More recently, Matthias Korkhaus joined the firm as a manager in January 2021, having previously worked at Möhrle Happ Luther.
The Hamburg team is headed by Jan Philipp Feigen, who joined the firm in 2018 and has previous experience with Latham & Watkins.
